CANCER-PROOF YOUR BODY

As stated in the previous post (CANCER DOES NOT KILL), there are several things you can do to cancer-proof your body and your loved ones from developing cancer.

Cancers are cells in the body that have refused to function normally. The abnormality in function is due to the damage in the programming of the cells which is controlled by the DNA of every cell. The human body grows new cells as millions of cells die in the body daily. Cells with damaged DNA do not just die but they grow and divide into other cells while they invade other tissues.

The environment of your cells also determine the fate of the cells as they can also give programmed instructions to the DNA, e.g. your body pH.

According to Dr. P. Shah, "Genetics is a loaded gun, but it is our DIET and LIFESTYLE that pulls the trigger". It is possible for a lady to have an abnormal BRCA1 or BRCA2 gene (a gene discovered in 1990 to be responsible for breast cancer located on chromosome 17), it does not mean you will automatically develop breast cancer though it is a possibility. Breast cancer will not develop until the gene is activated through poor diet, bad lifestyle choices, toxic exposure, etc.

Studies in epigenetics show that only 25% of our genes express themselves AUTOMATICALLY while the remaining 75% require triggers and may never be expressed unless triggered. The quality of your thoughts, belief, diet and lifestyle choices controls the expression of these genes.

THOUGHTS & SUGGESTIONS

You can cancer-proof your body by observing the following:

A) DIET
Knowing that your diet forms the building materials for which your cells and your body  is built, the quality of building materials you supply the body determines the quality of cells and body you get. Therefore:

i) Determine to enrich your diet through proper eating habbits.
ii) Consume more of raw foods than cooked and processed foods. Majority of countries and individuals with high rate of cancer are guilty of consuming little raw foods and are high on cooked and processed foods. Raw foods include organic fruits, vegetables, salads, juices, smoothies, nut milk, etc.
iii) If you must eat cooked food, you must ensure the process of cooking does not destroy the nutrients and minerals in the food. Most of our cooking processes take away the minerals and what we eat is just chaff.
iv)Your body must never be dehydrated. Drink water regularly. 8 glasses of water is the recommended daily consumption. This determines what your cell environment looks like. Caffeinated drinks and other substances that dehydrate the body must be avoided. You cant substitute water for any other liquid. Water contains its own minerals which are needed for proper body functions.
v) Alkalize your body by eating less of food low on the pH scale. An acidic cell environment makes it easy for DNA damage to occur.
vi) Avoid fast and fried foods. You cant have healthy cells while you leave on fast foods. Fast foods are meant to be emergency alternatives not our primary food option.
vii) Avoid the consumption of chemicals and toxic substances found in foods. MSG found in seasonings and several processed foods is a chemical that is toxic to the body. Aspartame used as the sweetener in most energy drinks, diet drinks, sweet but sugar-free products is toxic when ingested in the human body.
viii) Support your body repair mechanism by supplying it with Vitamins B3, B6, B12, Folate, Zinc (Rice that is not polished is rich in this), L-Cartinine

B) Lifestyle Options

i) Toxic air from smokes, cigarettes, etc does not help the body.
ii) Radiation from cell phones, telecommunication equipment, power lines,micro-wave oven, etc can cause cell damage
iii) Abusive and addictive substances and drugs should be avoided.
iv) Engage in physical activities/exercises regularly to keep your body properly oxygenated.
v) Rest properly (My mentor advocates 3 levels of rest: 6 hour daily minimum, One-day weekly, and 2 Weeks Annual Vacation)
vi) Renew your mind and feed on positive thoughts
vii) Forgive easily and hold no grudge

C) Early Detection

Fatality rate due to cancer can be curbed through early detection. Comprehensive medical check-up is necessary to screen for diseases and access risks of future health challenges depending on your age, race, gender and lifestyle.

i) Prostrate check should be carried out for men above the age of 40,
ii) Ladies should learn how to check for lumps in breast, color changes, and hardness.
iii) Monitor your weight and your BMI. An unexplainable loss of weight can be an early sign of cancer.
iv) Watch out for headaches that do not go away as it may be a sign of brain tumor
v) Pains in the stomach might be flagging cancers of the colon, rectum, ovary or stomach. Pains due to cancer is an indication of metastasis.
vi) Nagging cough or coarseness can be an indication of cancer of the lungs
vii) Indigestion and troubled swallowing can be a sign of cancer of the esophagus or stomach

Please note that these symptoms and many others are not peculiar to cancers alone as other ailments show same symptoms.

WHY CHRISTIANS FALL SICK

I must pay tribute and give dues to great Christians who have taken time to deal with the above topic. Some of them did after encounters with sicknesses and near-death experiences but the Lord had mercy on them and allowed them to put pen on paper for generations to come so we may understand God wants us whole and healthy. I will first acknowledge the works of Dr. George Makmus, founder of the Hallelujah Acres and the Hallelujah Diet who was diagnosed of colon cancer and went on to find out from the scriptures and science why “he” a Christian should get sick. He later wrote the book “Why Christians Get Sick” (It can be obtained from leading bookshops and online from Amazon.com). Secondly, I met Rev Tony Akinyemi over a decade ago and I believe strongly that my working with him is nothing but divine arrangement. He it was that first introduced my wife and I to the concept of healthy living. Rev Tony Akinyemi at the age of 36 with a budding ministry in the heart of Lagos was d...

PROTECT YOURSELF AND LOVED ONES FROM EBOLA

As Lagos records the first case of Ebola incidence, it has become pertinent to arouse public interest and educate people on the need for prevention as treatment and cure of the disease is not too clear to medical science as at 2014. The Ebola Virus Disease (EVD) or Ebola Haemorrhagic Fever (EHF) first appeared during two 1976 outbreaks in Africa. Ebola gets its name from the Ebola River, which is near one of the villages in the Democratic Republic of Congo where the disease first appeared. Usually an outbreak starts when someone comes into contact with the body fluids or waste of infected animals, such as monkeys, chimps, or fruit bats. Once a person is infected, he or she can then spread it to others. There are five different types of Ebola virus that cause the disease. Four of them are known to cause the disease in humans. The American Centre for Disease Control states that “the prevention of Ebola HF presents many challenges. Because it is still unknown how exac...

FAITH, HEALTH & HEALING DEVOTIONAL - DAY 11

You Need Bacteria “You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies….” – Psalm 23:5 David saw God preparing his table in the presence of his enemies. They have an important role to play in your lifting. Bacteria would be considered enemies of the human health but they serve several beneficial purposes to the body. There are about 100 Trillion bacteria in the human body while there are about 1 Quadrillion viruses (Bacteriophages) present in the human microbiome. The bacteria would outnumber the human cells by 10 to 1 while the viruses outnumber the bacteria by almost the same margin. Several researches have demonstrated the importance of bacteria to human health. There are several bacteria that promote infections and diseases in the human body but there are also several bacteria responsible for many critical functions in the human body. Bacteria are responsible for the breaking down of food particles in the body which when absent can lead to obesity...
