Much More!
“So if
you who are
evil
know how
to give
good
gifts to
your children,
how much
more will your
Father
in
heaven
give
the Holy
Spirit to those who
ask
Him!”
– Luke 11:13
Growing up in a working class family where both parents
resume work early meant breakfast is compulsory but I grew up knowing my father
would not have breakfast but would rather have his meal packed for work.
At the moment my meals are also packed for work and I
settled at the table for my lunch which usually is the same meal with what my
kids would have taken to school. The first spoon tasted so spicy. The first
thought I had was to check in my head for my children’s reaction upon eating
this meal in school. Spoon after spoon , my mind was on the reaction on my
children’s faces and their inability to eat that meal in school.
Then the thought dropped on me. I am human and have
limitations. I could not leave my office and reach out to my children’s school
to change the meal for them but I would have done that if I had the power to do
it. Despite my limitations and weaknesses, my heart reached out to my children
because I do love and care so much for them.
The scripture above says we have faults and are frail as
humans, it infact described us as evil. Yet we would not give our children
scorpions if they ask us for fish neither would we give them stones when they
ask us for bread. If we will not do this
as humans, how much more our Father
in heaven.
How would you believe God is teaching you a lesson by
putting cancer on you? You will never put cancer or any disease on your child
to teach that child a lesson. How much more our Father in heaven? As parents, we long to see our children
succeed and comfortable. More than what we wish and care for our children, God
cares and wishes for more about us and the bible says much more.
As you go thru life as a believer, it is important to know that
your heavenly Father wants you whole and healthy. That disease condition is not
his wish and he does not want you in that pain. He wants you healed and
healthy!
Just say to him, “Dear God, I know you love me, more than
any earthly parent would love their children. Thank you for loving me much more and for making provisions for
my health and healing thru faith in your Son Jesus. Amen!”
