Sick or
Thirsty?
“And wherever the
double river shall go, every living creature which swarms shall live. And there
shall be a very great number of fish, because these waters go there that [the
waters of the sea] may be healed and
made fresh; and everything shall live wherever the river goes.” – Ezekiel 47:9
(AMP)
The saying that water is life has always been true. It is
one of the strongest sign of life on any planet. The scriptures assert that
water brings health and healing; water purifies, cleanses and even likened the
word of God to water.
Water consumption is gradually being replaced with the
consumption of several drinks and beverages. The human body is about 60% water
and the body requires about 2 liters of water daily for maximum health.
Dehydration makes the body environment conducive for disease
process to be initiated and where a disease process is already initiated,
dehydration makes reversal or healing very difficult and almost impossible.
The body is already dehydrated when you are thirsty. Thirst
is a sign of dehydration and you should not wait till you are thirsty before taking
water. There are other symptoms of dehydration which may include headaches, migraine,
itchy eyes, etc.
Water heals and the human body responds to the healing from
water. It is also important to ensure the healing properties of water are made
available while consuming water. The water should also be free from toxins and
other poisonous chemicals which are sometimes added in a bid to purify water.
Please watch out for chlorinated and fluoridated water. Most
public water are either chlorinated or fluoridated. Fluorine, Chlorine and
Bromine are unsafe members of the halogen family for human consumption with the
exemption of Iodine. Toothpastes are other sources of fluorine. You can get
non-fluoridated toothpastes as alternative.
It is important you do not substitute water for any other
drink at meal. Harm yourself with your water bottle like a child of school age
and drink as often as you can but drink moderately to avoid frequent visits to
the restrooms.
People advocate water therapy but the human body is so
intelligent that when you over-drink, it will also flush out the excess. The
whole idea is never to allow your body get to the point of thirst. Your level
of dehydration can also be seen in the color of your urine. The darker your
urine, the dehydrated you are.
While on a fast, ensure you take water moderately in order
to prevent your body from being dehydrated.
